UI and I Lost in Java Land

WOW! That is all I can say, for now.

Okay, I have just recovered from two days at No Fluff Just Stuff. The NFJS conf is a very hardcore Java based conference, I went for the Groovy. Groovy is the shiznit when it comes to server side languages and it definitely gives people a free and easy way to communicate with the heinous beast known as Java. Heinous in the fact that it takes forever to setup and complains about every little thing.

Based on this conference I can tell you first hand that Java people are far different than UI or Web people. Java people are soooooooooooooooooooooo damn serious about everything, believe me they don’t get the ‘pull my finger’ gag. Continue reading

360 Flex in Atlanta – Feb. 25th-27th

If you haven’t made plans for this event then you better get it done soon.  This conference seems to be stacking up to be one of the best Flex conferences, bar none.  If you are not familiar with this Flex conference then check out http://www.360flex.com for all the details.

I have a funny feeling that something may become available at this conference… hmm wonder what it could be?  Actually, I do know of two very big announcements that will be made when this conference is taking place, but I can’t tell you before then (damn NDA).  I hate knowing something really cool and not being able to share.
