Experience and Significant Achievements

Rail Industry GIS Project, Railinc – February 2009 – present. Architected and implemented the GIS framework and infrastructure for the North American Railroad Industry Embargo System.  I was the team lead, lead developer and architect of the system.  The system was created from the ground up leveraging ESRI software and REST services with a Flex based interface.  Agile methodology was used as the process.

Chicago Gateway Project, Railinc – March 2008 – June 2008. Architected, developed, and implemented a rail traffic monitoring system for the worlds largest rail hub, Chicago.  I was the sole developer and worked extensively with the core railroads servicing Chicago to develop a Flex based interface with a Java backend to visualize expected rail traffic.  Agile methodology was used as the process.

Mobile Web Application Development, Railinc – September 2008. Created the User Interface and work flow for a web based application that was to be used by Blackberry Mobile Devices.

Flex Training and Support, Railinc – March 2007 – present. Conduct Flex training classes for Java developers to bring them up to speed with the Flex framework.

UI Standards Development, Railinc – January 2000 – present. Development of best practices for user interface development.
